Salto de La Jalda

The Salto de la Jalda is located between El Seibo and Hato Mayor province. It´s the highest waterfall in the Dominican Republic and the perfect destination for every adventurer. It´s good to keep in mind that after you arrive at the location by car, there is still a 12 kilometers-long walk left to take. Because of this, you should make sure that you are well hydrated and, of course, that you have the support of local guides.

1. Take energy-boosting snacks like protein bars, chocolates and candies.
2. Don’t forget to take your insects repellent with you.
3. Make sure to use clothing and shoes made for trekking, as well as an impermeable and light jacket.
4. Choose a light and waterproof backpack where you can carry and store all the above during your trip.
